The first part of last week was hot and volatile with a fiery new Moon in Cancer. Did you channel that potent energy into some breakthrough or new beginning? Did you clear up any old family issues? What new fresh starts did you plant having to do with home and family?
Sunday through Monday, the Moon is in efficient Virgo, days to get organized and get going, to power through your task list, to tidy your house. Neptune-opposite-Moon Sunday about mid-day calls for some inspiring music—and perhaps a little dancing– while you work. Give attention to beautifying your home and work space.
The work theme is further emphasized on Monday with an approaching Sun-Saturn trine. This disciplined aspect, coupled with Virgo Moon sextiles to Mars and Mercury, enables you to work efficiently through a large number of tasks. Some advanced planning and list making on Sunday will help you use this day wisely to get a lot accomplished.
The three mid-week days are graced with a Libra Moon that likes harmony and beauty. Tuesday and Wednesday are serious, productive days, continuing the productivity since Sunday. Wednesday may be somewhat tense with the emotional charge of the Moon-square-Pluto. Stay grounded if emotional storms emerge. Late Wednesday evening (Thursday GMT) the Sun moves into the sign of Leo tropically. This ushers in themes of recreation, creativity, and children: the perfect backdrop for family vacations. The month ahead calls for fun in the Sun, Leo’s ruling planet.
Mercury joins the Sun in Leo on Thursday to amplify themes of playfulness and creativity over the next few weeks. However, against a sunny backdrop there are contrary aspects, including some tense ones such as a Sun-Moon square in the evening. There’s a long Void Moon period from 11:12 AM-7:07 PM, so steer clear of activities calling for definitive decisions after the late morning.
The Moon moves into Scorpio Thursday evening to reside through Saturday, stirring strong passions and profound inquiries. While the Moon is in deeply emotional Scorpio, we may want to draw inward, as if pulling back our social energy for a couple of days. The Moon then bursts forth exuberantly when the Moon moves into Sagittarius on Sunday.
Exercise caution, assess risks, and look before you leap on Saturday (Mars square Uranus). Use your psychic sensitivity that is heightened by the water Grand Trine (Moon in Scorpio, Mars in Cancer, and Chiron in Pisces) to steer clear of trouble and to navigate sharp corners. Venus turns retrograde for the next six weeks at 0 Virgo on Saturday, and a few hours later on Sunday morning Uranus turns retrograde. When planets change directions their energies are amplified. Relationships are on schedule for a review. There may be changes of mind about relationships in the coming weeks.
Sunday is a buoyant day with the Moon in Sagittarius where it leads with optimism to end one week and begin another. Minds open and ideas flow. It’s a good day for an adventurous outing or an expansive trip.
The Week in Short:
Sunday: Give it the works with the efficient Virgo Moon. Put your home and life in order.

Ten Things to Do with Venus in Leo (June 5-October 9)
Venus dips barely into Virgo from July 19-August 1 tropically. It turns retrograde in the middle of that range at zero degrees of Virgo on July 25. Essentially, Venus is in Leo from now through October 9. Make note of any of these ways you want to express Venus over the coming months, as I’ll retire this section of the posting next week until Venus moved into Virgo in October.
1. Enjoy your summer vacation.
2. Wear a smile and be joyful!
3. Express appreciation.
4. Adorn yourself with gold jewelry.
5. Make a greeting card—and send it.
6. Dance joyfully!
7. Make life a game.
8. Be generous.
9. Update your wardrobe with bright colors.
10. Enjoy a picnic that includes children, games, and fun!
Moon Void-of-Course: This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet and before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it’s difficult to make decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. You will more easily get lost or meander if you’re trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
Exact Void-of-Course Moon times for the month ahead (one lunar cycle) are:
