This week blazes with the light of the Full Moon that is exact Sunday evening at 8:53 PM (PST)—or Monday morning GMT. This is one extremely potent Full Moon, one that calls for a new revolutionary order, as the Moon is conjunct Pluto and square Uranus. Uranus is joined with the South Node; thus, the nodal axis forms a Grand Cross. The new calendar year beckons to all of us to make new resolutions and fresh starts. This Full Moon is turbo-charged with change. Stuck energy is likely to be blasted apart, so identify and take charge of the change you want to create. Out with the old patterns and ruts—and in with some dynamic new pathways! In addition to the dynamic Cardinal Grand Cross, Mars and Jupiter are in opposition, a high energy aspect. If your New Year’s resolution is to be more active and get more exercise, the planetary gods will help. Use this Mars-Jupiter opposition to ignite your exercise commitment for 2015. You can also use it to ignite just about any other worthy goal. The tight Uranus-Pluto square now through March calls forth the final burst of revolutionary change in this three-year aspect. This square is highlighted big time by the Full Moon lunation!
Most people will be returning to their jobs and routines on Monday. Begin to employ the Full Moon’s dynamism on Sunday to re-examine everything, to re-charge, and to make revolutionary plans for the week ahead…as well as for the coming month and year. A Venus-Saturn sextile, exact on Sunday, gives some stability and practical encouragement. Be bold in your planning.
Monday the Moon is Void-of-Course all day, so don’t expect this first Monday in 2015 to result in a lot of accomplishments. It’s not a day for decisions and defining actions. Rather use it to put your home or office in order for the new year. Hold off on things requiring decisions until Tuesday. However, a Mercury-Saturn sextile does provide some grounding for thoughts and ideas that can be used for planning.
The Moon is in exuberant Leo on Tuesday and Wednesday. Optimism and creativity abound, and an early morning lunar trine to Saturn on Tuesday helps you move in a positive direction. Wednesday is crowned with even more optimism and new ideas. Use this supercharged, bright day to make the impossible possible!
Thursday the Moon is VoC in Leo most of the day—until 2:58 PM Pacific Time. Since Leo symbolizes creativity, let your imagination run free during this time. Just don’t expect things to come together easily or be very productive until the Virgo Moon arrives at 2:58 (PST). Thankfully, the subsequent, mutable earth Virgo Moon that is with us through Saturday delivers attention to details, problem solving, and task completion. All those optimistic intentions set in motion the last few days under the Leo Moon can be addressed practically and dutifully. These three days, put your holiday décor away, write thank-you notes, log address changes, clean house, and get things checked off your “to do” list.
Friday is a powerfully productive day, with Pluto making an earth trine to the Virgo Moon. Saturday is a sweet and soft day with the Moon making a flowing trine to the Sun, but the Moon is VoC all day. It’s an especially good day for house cleaning–not good for shopping or making things happen out in the world—so plan those tasks for Sunday instead of Saturday. The Moon shifts to Libra on Sunday. Ruled by Venus, Libra is a good Moon sign for shopping, as you’ll be delighted by beauty and will realize good value. After an industrious few days with the Moon in Virgo, Sunday is a day for taking it a bit easier. Yet Sunday is a balanced day that can be reasonably productive.
The Week in Short
Sunday: Pay attention to the rumblings and turbulence. Plan the radical change that you want to make in 2015, and the steps to make it happen.
Monday: Meandering day: Void Moon all day. Put things in order, and don’t start this week with definitive actions.
Tuesday: Move plans forward with purpose. Day fueled with optimism.
Wednesday: Fire up for this supercharged day to make the impossible actually possible.
Thursday: Moon VoC most of the day—until the Virgo Moon at 2:58 PST grounds us and propels us into efficient motion.
Friday: Powerfully productive day to get things done.
Saturday: Clean house. Moon VoC in Virgo.
Sunday: Balanced, reasonable productive day–good for shopping.

Moon Void-of-Course: This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet and before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it’s difficult to make decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. You will more easily get lost or meander if you’re trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
