The week ahead is sandwiched between eclipses–the Solar eclipse that ocurred July 2, and the Lunar Eclipse July 16. These are potent eclipses tied in with Saturn, Pluto, and the nodes. We never know what eclipses will bring, but the energies intensify, and it is best to slow down and keep things simple. Mercury turns retrograde on Sunday, July 7th for three weeks until July 31, heralding a time to re-think, re-work, revise, and re-do. Chiron turns retrograde Tuesday, July 8, igniting our inner warrior.

Mercury turns retrograde Sunday for a three-week backward spin until July 31. During the retrograde it is good to re-work, re-think, and re-do. The Virgo Moon is void of course for a long period from 9:50 a.m. through 11:07 p.m. Use this earthy, put-things-in-order Moon period to clean house and get organized. This is not a day for weekend shopping. Stay focused on matters at home that need attention.
Chiron stations retrograde on Monday. When a planet stations direct or retrograde, its symbolic energy is amplified. Chiron in Aries symbolizes the fight for a good cause. Mars is conjunct Mercury; our communication will tend to be charged and direct. Venus makes a benefic sextile to Uranus. Relationships could be re-negotiated for the better.
If something is not working in your life, the door may close on it on Tuesday. This is a day of reckoning when things that need to be addressed can no longer slide. The Sun opposes Saturn and the South Node, while the Moon squares Saturn and Pluto. These aspects are tense and demanding. We need to face our challenges and responsibilities, and let go of what no longer serves us. The Moon is void of course after 12:35 p.m. PDT, so be sure to have meetings requiring decisions before that time.
Wednesday and Thursday the Moon is in fixed water sign Scorpio, taking us deep into dark emotional waters, aided by the Sun in Cancer, and Neptune in Pisces. Emotions run strong. A volatile Mars-Uranus square Thursday morning may create fireworks, and result in unexpected consequences. Keep your cool and move slowly and carefully.
Things look up on Friday as the Moon bounces into sunny Sagittarius and makes benefic trines with Chiron, Mercury, and Mars, Our spirits run high, and we seek adventure and expansion. Gather with friends for a fun, social evening.
Saturday is yet another glorious, optimistic day, calling us to the great outdoors. Take a hike or a bike ride. A Moon-Jupiter conjunction could make this a lucky day, and bring opportunities.
Power dynamics may come into play on Sunday as the Sun opposes powerful Pluto. The Moon is void of course nearly all day until 4:05 p.m. PDT when it moves into practical, responsible Capricorn. Take time out and ready a book. Learn something new, and expand your knowledge. In the evening, plan your week ahead, and get organized to start the work week with maximum effectiveness and preparedness.
Monday is made for hard work with the Capricorn Moon shining its practical, goal-oriented light. The day may start with something unexpected due to a Uranus-Moon trine. Keep things simple as the energy intensifies before tomorrow’s Lunar Eclipse.

Moon Void-of-Course: This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it’s difficult to make good decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together, and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. We more easily get lost or meander in trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
