This week four planets shift from Leo to Virgo, from the enthusiastic, playful fixed fire of Leo to the practical, efficient, flexible earth of Virgo. Mars leads the way, arriving in Virgo tropically on Sunday, August 18th. Venus moves into Virgo on Wednesday, August 21st, and the Sun and the asteroid Juno arrive in Virgo on Friday, August 23rd. With Mars, Venus, the Sun, and Juno in close conjunction, the focus is on partnership, and on crafting better, more refined relationships. On August 29th Mercury moves into Virgo, and for more than two weeks (August 29-September 13) this five-planet Virgo work party is a powerful team. A great deal of work can be done with creativity and efficiency. Pick a project or goal and engage this stellium of Virgo planets to help you accomplish more than you thought possible.

We may have a slow start to Sunday, but once the Moon bounces into Mars-ruled Aries at 9:33 a.m. PDT, the day picks up speed and demands activity. This weekend day calls for adventure, some active and pleasurable fun like a bike ride or hike.
Monday is an active day for getting a lot accomplished. As you tend to responsibilities, you are buoyed by a grand fire trine (Moon in Aries, Mercury in Leo, and Jupiter in Sagittarius). You can leap ahead with a spring in your step.
Planetary weather is mixed on Tuesday, with a challenging Moon-Pluto aspect early in the day, yet followed by lunar trines to the Sun and Venus that smooth things out as the day progresses. The elemental balance is shifting this week as Mars, Venus, the Sun and Juno shift from fire to earth. Mars led the way, moving from Leo to Virgo on August 18th. The Moon shifts from fire sign Aries to earth sign Taurus this evening.
Venus shifts from fiery Leo to earthy Virgo, and the Moon shifts from fiery Aries to earthy Taurus on Wednesday. Mercury makes a benefic trine to Jupiter, lifting our spirits and inspiring our speech. Expect the unexpected with the Moon meeting up with Uranus. The Taurus Moon highlights all things sensual, and brings a delightful focus to relationships as the Moon trines Mars and Venus.
Thursday is a productive day with the Moon aspecting Saturn and Pluto. Plan to get a lot accomplished before 2:23 p.m. PDT when the Moon goes void of course. Then relax into the ease and beauty of the Taurus Moon. Enjoy a delightful dinner that pleases your senses.
The Sun and the asteroid Juno move into mutable earth sign Virgo early Friday morning, ushering in the final month of summer and the beginning of the transition to fall. After summer vacation, children are back to school, and the rest of us are back to work. Virgo is a grounded, disciplined energy. For the next month it will be easier than usual to lean into a healthy diet and exercise regimen. The Moon is also in a mutable sign (mutable=flexible), but it makes irritating squares to the Sun, Venus and Mars. It may be hard to stay focused, Allow your intuition to help gently guide your day.
Venus and Mars make an exact conjunction on Saturday. This is a creative alignment. Given that this conjunction is in Virgo, and the Moon is in curious Gemini, use the day’s energies for self-improvement and learning something new. The distractible qualities of Gemini are exaggerated on Saturday with a lunar opposition to Jupiter (a tendency to exaggerate) and a square to idealistic Neptune. The Gemini Moon want to converse. Make time for socializing and discovering something new through exploration or conversation.
Sunday will start slowly and it may be hard to get going with the Moon void of course until 2:05 p.m. PDT. Then the Moon eases into Cancer, and we are focused for the rest of the day on home and family. Sunday evening the Moon aligns beneficially with the Sun and Mars. Prepare a nourishing dinner and get ready for the week ahead.
Pleasant surprises may occur on Monday through the benevolence of a Venus-Uranus trine with the magnetic Cancer Moon in-between forming opportunistic sextiles. Lest you forget your responsibilities, a Moon-Saturn opposition will remind you to take care of business. A benefic Moon-Neptune trine kisses the evening with sweetness and good dreams.

Moon Void-of-Course: This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it’s difficult to make good decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together, and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. We more easily get lost or meander in trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
