Mercury joins the symphony of planets (the Sun, Mars, Venus, and Juno) in fixed fire Leo, calling us to express our creative passions and enthusiasm this week. While the Sun is in Leo these next ten days we can use the playfulness of Leo to enjoy our summer vacation! Jupiter makes benefic trines to the stellium in Leo. We are fired up with possibilities. Jupiter has stationed and turned direct in motion, and Uranus stationed and turned retrograde, both on Sunday, August 11, infusing us with creative ideas.

There’s a lot of changing direction on Sunday. Jupiter is stationary, turning direct after a 4-month backspin. Uranus is stationary turning retrograde for the next five months until January 11th. When planets are stationary, their energy is amplified. Jupiter symbolizes expansion and the search for knowledge. Uranus shakes things up and brings change. Mercury moves into creative Leo tropically. Sunday is a big day for expansive, game-changing possibilities.
Monday is framed for hard work and productivity. The Capricorn Moon conjuncts both Saturn and Pluto, the compelling planets whose demands we cannot ignore. Lean into your work with vigor and make this a productive day.
The detached, objective Aquarius Moon colors our lives mid-week Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, at its brightest of the month, perfecting as a Full Moon on Thursday. When the Moon is in Aquarius we want to gather with friends and groups, especially colorful groups of people from different cultures and walks of life. We are curious. These are great days to engage with people who are different from yourself. It is summer, and perhaps you are traveling, as I am. I’ve written this blog from the countryside of central Sweden and the city of Berlin, and will be traveling to Switzerland and Italy over this week. Wherever you are, see what you can learn about the culture and current socio-political happenings. Tuesday and Wednesday evenings are excellent for gathering with groups and friends. Try a new ethnic restaurant, or invite friends in for a multi-cultural dinner.
You may be taken off-track by something surprising on Tuesday, with the Moon in an edgy square to Uranus. Wednesday offers positive energy from a Moon-Jupiter sextile.
The Full Moon in Aquarius (Moon)-Leo (Sun) tropically arrives on Thursday morning at 5:29 a.m. PDT at 22:24 degrees of Aquarius tropically. This Full Moon combines the serious, objective, mature energies of Aquarius with the playfulness of Leo. The enthusiastic Leo Sun is amplified by four other planets in Leo: Mercury, Venus, Juno, and Mars. Aquarius needs a lot of space to think, and the freedom to detach as needed. A Uranus-Mercury square demands something similar. This Full Moon may result in someone pulling away, or creating distance to fulfill their needs. Consciously consider your own needs for healthy detachment and liberation to form your own thoughts and take care of your own needs.
On Friday the Mercury-Uranus square perfects, again encouraging free thinking. The Mercury-Uranus aspect, coupled with a Moon-Jupiter sextile galvanizes brilliant ideas and breakthroughs. You may realize good solutions to the emotional needs that were stirred on Wednesday and Thursday by the energy of the Full Moon,
Saturday is a day of mixed energies. On one hand we drift into an easy day. The Moon is in dreamy Pisces conjunct Neptune, doubling the dreaminess. On the other hand, Mars and Pluto are activated, and while we could feel frustrated, the Mars-Pluto energy can be proactively employed to get some things done. Note that the Moon is void of course at 3;34 p.m. PDT, so if you have weekend shopping to do, get it done before the Moon goes VoC.
We may have a slow start to Sunday, but once the Moon bounces into Mars-ruled Aries at 9:33 a.m. PDT, the day picks up speed and demands activity. This weekend day calls for adventure, some active and pleasurable fun like a bike ride or hike.
Monday is an active day for getting a lot accomplished. As you tend to responsibilities, you are buoyed by a grand fire trine (Moon in Aries, Mercury in Leo, and Jupiter in Sagittarius). You can leap ahead with a spring in your step.

Moon Void-of-Course: This is the time when the Moon makes its last major angular aspect with a planet before it moves into the next zodiacal sign tropically. This void time, when the Moon is not aspecting a planet, but rather floating on its own, is a time when things don’t come together and it’s difficult to make good decisions. Purchases made during void Moons often turn out to be unsatisfactory and not work out. Appointments often don’t come together, and meetings don’t result in progress or sound, lasting decisions. We more easily get lost or meander in trying to get somewhere. The VoC Moon times for the next month are listed below so that you can plan meetings, decisions, and purchases at times when the Moon is not VoC; and use the void times for gardening, reading, and routine task work.
Void-of-Course Moon times for the month ahead (one lunar cycle) are:
